In an ifilm exclusive report, actor playing the cruel killer of Imam Hussein's (AS) infant describes how the wild beast's make-up was carried out.
Anoush Moazami played one of the most hated characters in Islamic history due to killing Imam Hussein’s son, Ali Asghar, in the Karbala tragic event.
Moazami told ifilm about make-up stage for the Hurmala character that "after doing a multitude of tests on my face, the make-up artist for the series decided to use some stuff on my eyebrows which is so-called 'Prosthesis' to fade my eyebrows and make my forehead look forward a bit."
The actor also said, “Director Mir-Baqeri, told me on the spot, ‘that’s it, I saw Hurmala as an animal, a wild one,’” referring to the director’s reaction to his final make-up for 'The Mukhtar Narrative' series.
Muslims across the world, including Iran, annually mark the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad, in Karbala, Iraq.
Muharram ceremonies symbolize humanity’s struggle against injustice and tyranny.
